Skiing & Snowboarding Holidays in Davos

The ski resort itself is above 1500m, so skiing and boarding back to the resort is never a problem. With pistes above 2500 metres, great snow is assured throughout the season right up to closure on the 25th of April 2010. Davos is equally famous for its early season snowfall. For solitary champagne powder you can be here as early as the 1st of December 2009…..get BOOKING NOW !

Snowmaking

In the unlikely event of needing to produce snow, rest assured Davos has plenty of snowmaking facilities to keep you enjoying the hill.

Ski Lift Capacity

The 38 Ski Lifts of Davos are able to uplift 64,400 skiers and snowboarders per hour. So queues are a thing of the past here! We have the odd T-bar and button but it wouldn’t be a ski trip unless you used a few of these! Beginner areas have rope tows and magic carpets. We like the Audi designed cable cars best though! There are two airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Davos are perfectly feasible. Flying into Zurich works best and the train will take you from the airport to Davos Platz in under 3 hours. Alternatively try flying into Friedrichshafen in Germany and we can pick you up (see our GETTING THERE section)
